Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

About the role

DigiExpress, a logistics company focused on technology, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build robust and scalable server-side applications. The position is full-time and based in Tehran.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain efficient, scalable server-side applications, working with product managers, designers and other engineers
• Build and maintain APIs connecting front-end and back-end systems
• Design and optimise database schemas, write queries and procedures, and ensure data security and integrity
• Find performance bottlenecks and apply caching and other optimisations
• Review code, enforce coding standards and set up testing and quality assurance practices
• Communicate with teams and stakeholders on project progress and requirements

Required profile

• Proven experience as a back-end developer with a strong portfolio of server-side applications
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with web application architecture and RESTful API design
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; cloud platform knowledge; Docker and Kubernetes; security best practices; Agile experience

Required skills

• At least one server-side programming language
• Version control (e.g. Git) and continuous integration tools
