Legal Manager - Litigation & Dispute Resolution

About the role

Divar seeks a Legal Manager to lead nationwide litigation and dispute resolution for its large online platform. The role involves building legal strategies from scratch, coordinating external counsel, and protecting the company in judicial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Own Divar’s civil and criminal litigation portfolio from case assessment through hearings, appeals, settlements, and closure.
• Design content governance frameworks to reduce legal risk and clarify liability.
• Select, instruct, and oversee external counsel across jurisdictions, ensuring consistent positions and cost‑effective delivery.
• Develop scalable processes for case intake, evidence collection, tracking, reporting, and performance evaluation.
• Lead strategic legal actions against fraud networks, impersonation, brand misuse, counterfeiting, and copyright/trademark violations.
• Manage inquiries and disputes related to unlawful advertisements, platform obligations, user identification, fraud prevention, and regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law with an active license to practice before Iranian courts.
• Strong practical knowledge of Iran’s substantive and procedural laws, judicial structure, and litigation practices.
• Experience developing case strategy or managing significant legal matters, not just procedural tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, stakeholders, and external service providers simultaneously.
• Professional judgment, resilience, and high personal accountability.

Required skills

• Legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing external counsel or a multi‑case litigation portfolio.
• Familiarity with platform liability, e‑commerce, cybercrime, consumer protection, digital evidence, or regulatory investigations.
• Ability to engage with prosecutors, law‑enforcement agencies, or regulatory authorities.
• Professional proficiency in English.
