Logistics Technical Assistant (Iran North) - Nationals Only

About the role

NRC Iran is looking for a Logistics Technical Assistant to support the organization's logistics activities in the Area Office, Iran, under the direction of the Area Manager. The role covers logistics support processes, asset, fleet and warehouse management, and is open only to Iranian nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Follow NRC policies, procedures, tools, handbooks and guidelines on logistics and procurement.
• Prepare logistics and procurement reports (KPI DELIVER) and update the supervisor or line manager as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and filing for project procurement and logistics activities.
• Help the AO/CO logistics teams prepare procurement reports and share ideas to improve the support function.
• Assist with asset and inventory management: updating asset registers, physical verification, transfers, loss/damage reporting and handover documentation.
• Oversee NRC's transportation needs and fleet according to standard guidelines, including vehicle and driver coordination, movement planning, logbooks, fuel monitoring and fleet reports.
• Archive procurement documents, receive purchase requisitions, obtain quotations and bids, and support the procurement of goods and services.
• Maintain procurement files (requisitions, quotations, bid documents, purchase orders, contracts, delivery docs) and support bid committee documentation.

Required profile

• Experience as a Support Function Assistant in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Experience in complex and volatile contexts.
• Documented results related to the position's responsibilities.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Basic knowledge of the areas where NRC operates.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement, purchasing and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of warehouses, stock, fleet, asset and inventory management.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Advantageous: good knowledge of computer and IT systems, supply chain management and fleet management.
